Says no one EVER.
Let's be honest, the only reason why a lot of people have dreaded the fact of working on fixing their credit is because they've caused so much damage they don't even know what to do and where to start and they realize it may be almost impossible to fix the darn thing!
And nobody wants to spend money unless it's on materialistic things they can see.
Just a reminder, if you have credit card debt, you've already expired the time of the purchase you originally made on that card that is now maxed out and is of no benefit to you. The least you can do is pay it off in the event in the future you may need an emergency go-to because borrowing from other people is no fun.
If your debt involves evictions, repossessions, or child support... [searches for emoji of stupidity to insert] well let's just say, I hope that was a time in your life that you were young or going through a major financial struggle. Those 3 situations are probably the worst to encounter on your credit like a judgement lien and they are not easy to remove. Believe me when I tell you "time will tell" because all you can do is wait and wallow.
Companies love to advertise that EVERYTHING you screwed up on your credit report can be removed, WRONG, unless you're a scammer making CPNs, there are just some things that prefer to try and follow you to your grave, even if it means just leaving breadcrumbs that they existed at one point in your life.
My best advice when it comes to credit repairing is to try it yourself. You pay people and companies because you want to pay for the convenience of not having to do the work. But in doing so, you may still have to come out of pocket for certain things that are inevitable. Start as soon as you come to the point of realization that you are an adult and can admit that you've messed up in the past. Start when you realize that you want something better than where you are right now. Start when you see that you are tired of hearing "No" or "Not Approved" or "Too much revolving accounts". Those are negative words and we don't need that in our lives.
